Lindum's story
Lindum is part of the Scape framework – a suite of performance managed construction and consultancy frameworks for the public sector. Projects commissioned through this framework need to demonstrate local spend, so the team wanted to find a cost-effective solution which would make it much easier and quicker to source suitable suppliers.
Before working with Local Supply Chain, Lindum Group had to carry out manual supplier searches for projects in new areas using word of mouth, attending Meet the Buyer events and cold calls. This was a lengthy and time-consuming process, particularly as the new suppliers they contacted needed to have their credentials checked before any contracts were signed.

How LSC software helped
We worked with The Lindum Group to integrate the LSC platform within its existing systems to create a digital supplier selection and procurement management process. Teams across various divisions and sites use the software, including BMS, construction and now joinery.
Suppliers can now easily be found based on a wide range of criteria, such as location, distance from project, type of service and availability. Viewing and engaging with suppliers with a green profile has been particularly useful and the ability to edit labels has made it so much easier to organise information.
The LSC platform has improved the EOI and tender processes in a hassle-free and straightforward way. Lindum’s teams have been particularly impressed with our regular training sessions, which ensure all employees are fully aware of the software’s capabilities. Plus, they like the fact we’re always on hand to help with their queries as part of our Helpdesk facility.
