Helping one of UK’s largest social landlords deliver ambitious expansion plans
About our client
Our client is one of the UK’s leading social landlords with more than 50 years’ experience and around 69,000 homes across England.
The issues
Our client wanted to launch several construction-related frameworks to deliver an ambitious five-year expansion plan.
This included a large project framework, consisting of more than 50 contractors from various locations and sectors, around 200 professional services and an estimated 4,000 suppliers.
Various internal departments, including construction, development, assets and re-investment needed to make use of the frameworks to ‘call-off’ the services they required for their projects.
What our client said
“LSC has enabled departments across the business to manage all aspects of our framework and supply chain activity. It’s streamlined our processes and made all elements of delivering our construction projects much more efficient.
“The continued support from the LSC team is also invaluable, which has meant the integration of the software within our existing systems and process has been seamless.”
How LSC has helped this social housing provider
LSC software was integrated within the client’s operations and systems as part of a comprehensive plan, including training, communications, meet the buyer events and demonstrations for internal and external stakeholders.
The software is now providing them with insight and control of all activity across the internal buying teams, whilst managing the high volume, low value transactions across their vast property portfolio.
The platform is also managing the client’s frameworks and dynamic purchasing system (DPS) arrangements. As part of this buyers can source suitable suppliers based on a wide range of factors, including location, trade, credentials and previous performance.
Buyers can then continue to ‘call-off’ from the DPS and procure the most suitable suppliers. whilst central teams can maintain oversight of activity. LSC’s frameworks also allows multiple framework users to collaborate with the client to source suppliers, run mini-competitions and award from the framework.
