Today is our Meet the Buyer event in Nottingham where tradespeople and businesses from across the East Midlands are gathering with some of the region’s largest main contractors.
Buyers from a range of companies, including Lindum, Henry Boot, GF Tomlinson, Morgan Sindall, North Midland Construction and Sanctuary Housing are showcasing their schemes with the aim of finding suppliers to deliver their construction projects.
Requirements for public and private sector schemes, including education facilities, infrastructure and new housing for example are being discussed, which will allow relevant trades and suppliers to find out more and express their interest if they choose to.
Richard Ratcliffe, our CEO, said “Getting your foot in the door with large companies can often be a lengthy and time-consuming process for tradespeople. It is also the same for main contractors who need qualified, honest and local people to deliver their construction projects.
“We organised this event so individuals from trades across all levels of the construction industry can interact and marry their business and project needs. Tradespeople, such as joiners, builders, electricians, along with businesses such as architects, interior designers and surveyors should find it to be a very productive day.”
Gavin Jamieson, Head of Supply Chain at Morgan Sindall, said: “We deliver complex projects up and down the country across multiple industries, including construction, infrastructure, fit-out, property services, housing, regeneration and development.
“Working with local suppliers is very important to us and Local Supply Chain’s event is the perfect opportunity to showcase our schemes, network with other businesses and source suitable tradespeople from the East Midlands.”
