We’re delighted to have partnered with Sanctuary Group to launch a new scheme that will not only support the delivery of ambitious building targets, but also provide work opportunities for contractors across the country.
ConstructDPS has been delivered to streamline Sanctuary Group’s procurement processes and help the housing association achieve its aim of building 6,000 homes across a range of tenures by 2023, and also ongoing asset reinvestment programmes.
As part of this, the Group is looking for 2,000 contractors to apply for ConstructDPS by Spring 2021. Contractors can be of any size and located anywhere in the country. Once a contractor is accepted, they will be visible to Sanctuary Group and issued relevant work opportunities and contracts - which either involves, building new homes or the refurbishment of existing properties.
Mike Melly, Construction Director from Sanctuary Group, said: “ConstructDPS is a fantastic scheme for contractors to join and become part of our National Supply Chain. We’re one of the largest social housing and care providers in the UK, managing and owning more than 100,000 homes in England and Scotland. We would now like to engage with thousands of new construction businesses to help us deliver our development and reinvestment plans over the next two years.
Whether these are small businesses, SMEs with one or more construction trades or even large contractors capable of delivering capital schemes, we would encourage them all to apply.”
Richard Ratcliffe, Managing Director of LSC, said: “Being on this DPS, means contractors don’t have to demonstrate their suitability and capability every time they wish to compete for a contract – making the award of individual contracts quicker than it would otherwise be.
All businesses need to do to apply, is obtain an amber LSC profile, which can be gained for free, along with various company details, such as insurances and recent turnover. They can then enter where in England or Scotland they’d like to work, and the value bands they’d like to be considered for, which will be up to 50% of the business’ turnover.
ConstructDPS will drive efficiencies and improvements across this entire framework, including all projects carried out within it – and provide opportunities for construction businesses across the country.”
